Moroccan international defender Nayef Aguerd was reportedly assaulted Sunday evening at Marignane Airport in France, \u201cBFM Marseille-Provence\u201d reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Olympique de Marseille player was waiting in the VIP lounge for his flight to join Morocco\u2019s football team during the international break when an individual approached him, asking for his phone number and a selfie.<\/p>\n

The man, described as appearing unstable, reportedly became aggressive and tried to slap the player before fleeing.<\/p>\n

Security personnel quickly intervened, and police later detained the suspect. However, Aguerd allegedly did not file a complaint before his departure.<\/p>\n

Aguerd joined Marseille this summer from West Ham United and has made a strong start under Coach Roberto De Zerbi, appearing in seven matches and scoring once.<\/p>\n
