Moroccan football stars Ghizlane Chebbak and Achraf Hakimi have been named among the finalists for the 2025 International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPRO) World 11 award, the only global football award voted on exclusively by professional players, according to FIFPRO\u2019s website<\/a>. More than 26,000 footballers from 68 countries participated in the voting this year.<\/p>\n

The FIFPRO World 11 is unique in the world of football. It is decided entirely by players themselves, \u201cvoted by the players, for the players.\u201d This year\u2019s men\u2019s finalists were nominated based on performances they gave between July 2024 and August 2025, the women for performances between August 2024 and August 2025.<\/p>\n

Chebbak, who played for Badalona and Al Hilal this season, is the only Moroccan and Arab woman to make the women\u2019s shortlist. Her inclusion is a milestone for African women\u2019s football. In the men\u2019s category, Paris Saint-Germain\u2019s Achraf Hakimi continues to represent Morocco among the world\u2019s best defenders, competing along with stars such as Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Nuno Mendes.<\/p>\n

The final World 11 awards for men and women will honor one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards, with an additional spot reserved for the outfield player who received the next highest number of votes.<\/p>\n

In the women\u2019s lineup, Spain dominates with Barcelona\u2019s Aitana Bonmat\u00ed, Alexia Putellas, and Patricia Guijarro all making the cut, along with Brazil\u2019s Marta Vieira da Silva and England\u2019s Mary Earps.<\/p>\n

On the men\u2019s side, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbapp\u00e9, Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo head the list.<\/p>\n

FIFPRO will reveal the final men\u2019s and women\u2019s World 11 winners on Monday, November 3, at 2 p.m. CET through its online platforms.<\/p>\n
