Iberdrola<\/a> Spain<\/strong> has launched the seventh edition of the Iberdrola Supera Awards<\/strong><\/a>, with the aim of recognising and promoting Spanish projects aligned with gender equality<\/strong> through sport.<\/strong><\/p>\n The deadline for submitting nominations<\/strong> is now open until June, and the main new feature this year is the introduction of two new categories:\u00a0<\/p>\n The two new categories are added to the six already featured in the Iberdrola Supera Awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n The projects submitted will be assessed by a jury of honour comprising leading figures from the worlds of sport and the media, such as Carolina Mar\u00edn, Teresa Perales, Iker Casillas, Sandra S\u00e1nchez, Ona Carbonell, Susanna Griso and Alexia Putellas.<\/strong> Each of the aforementioned categories will be awarded \u20ac50,000, making a total of \u20ac400,000,<\/strong> as officially announced by Iberdrola.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n In its sixth edition, the Iberdrola Supera Awards<\/strong> matched the record number of entries previously set in 2024, with 1,300. In total, since the first awards in 2020, the company has received more than 5,300 projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n Since 2016, Iberdrola Spain has been the main driving force behind women\u2019s sport in Spain,<\/strong> with the aim of promoting gender equality.<\/p>\n It currently supports, through its sponsorship, 35 national federations <\/strong>and lends its name to over 100 competitions. <\/strong>Through its commitment over the past decade, it has helped increase the number of female members of these federations by more than 80%,<\/strong> reaching nearly 820,000.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The Spanish company\u2019s support also extends to Paralympic sport.
