Pratt & Whitney Canada, a business unit of RTX and a global leader in the design, manufacture, and maintenance of aircraft engines, inaugurated its new production facility on Tuesday in the Midparc industrial zone in Nouaceur, for an investment of $76 million.<\/p>\n
Inaugurated during a ceremony attended by Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration Abdeltif Loudiyi, this 12,000 m\u00b2 facility will generate approximately 200 new jobs by 2030 and add essential production capacity to meet the growing demand for high-quality, reliable engines.<\/p>\n
It will produce detailed, static, and structural machined parts for Pratt & Whitney Canada aircraft engines, notably the PT6 engine family.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour highlighted the Group\u2019s track record, which includes tens of thousands of engines in service worldwide.<\/p>\n
The minister also highlighted Morocco\u2019s strengths in supporting the ramp-up of the aerospace supply chain, emphasizing the agility of the national industrial base and its ability to meet deadlines, costs, and quality standards.<\/p>\n
For his part, Minister Delegate for Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation Karim Zidane emphasized that Pratt & Whitney\u2019s establishment represents a major step in upgrading Morocco\u2019s aerospace industry.<\/p>\n
As part of the strong economic ties between Morocco, Canada, and the United States, this project is the result of close and coordinated support from the Moroccan government, through the Ministry of Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), the Casablanca-Settat Regional Investment Center (CRI), and local authorities, he noted.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis facility represents a strategic expansion of our global production network and demonstrates our commitment to building resilient global supply chains to increase production for our customers,\u201d said, for her part, Maria Della Posta, president of Pratt & Whitney Canada.<\/p>\n
\u201cRTX has been present in Morocco for over a decade, and we are delighted to reinforce our footprint through this major investment, both in local infrastructure and in local talent,\u201d Della Posta noted.<\/p>\n
According to her, Morocco\u2019s growing role as a global aerospace hub, in line with the Kingdom\u2019s long-term vision, makes it a strategic location for this new facility.<\/p>\n
Since construction began in 2024, the Pratt & Whitney facility in Morocco has progressed rapidly, moving from construction to operational readiness, including the recruitment of staff, technical training, and the installation of state-of-the-art machining equipment.<\/p>\n
The facility was designed in accordance with lean manufacturing principles and incorporates advanced digital systems to promote quality, operational excellence, and efficiency.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
