Women are disproportionately affected, accounting for around 70% of NEETs, while 76% lack vocational training qualifications, significantly limiting employment prospects. The likelihood of falling into the NEET category rises sharply from the age of 24 and varies significantly by region, with Morocco’s Oriental region recording some of the highest levels, at nearly 39% of young people.

Despite the scale of the issue, the overall NEET rate has shown a slight improvement over time, declining from 35% in 2017 to 33% in 2022, before edging up marginally to 33.6% in 2023.

The report calls for targeted policy measures, including reducing school dropout rates, strengthening vocational training, and improving pathways into employment. It also highlights the need to address women’s unemployment as a central policy issue and to ensure more effective and equitable implementation of employment policies across regions.

Rephrase in a different way as if you were a native American speaker as a content creation expert and do not talk about yourself or your experience in the text and do not show yourself as an artificial intelligence who wrote and fill the bullet point in the topic and speak the heart of the topic itself and dont take date of blog in ther first and dont take text like box of newsliter subscribe on post from content and romove all linke insert in content and and remove all affiliate disclosure phrases on content like this “This post may contain Amazon or other affiliate links that allow us to earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
