The newly recognized sites include Melka Kunture and Balchit in Ethiopia, the Royal Court of Ti\u00e9b\u00e9l\u00e9 in Burkina Faso, the Historic Town and Archaeological Site of Gedi in Kenya, as well as the Pleistocene Occupation Sites and the Nelson Mandela Heritage Sites in South Africa.<\/p>\n
UNESCO emphasizes that these new entries strengthen the organization\u2019s dedication to safeguarding Africa’s cultural and natural heritage. Additionally, the 45th session of the World Heritage Committee marked a positive development with the removal of Niokolo Koba National Park in Senegal from the List of World Heritage in Danger.
