High unemployment rates affect especially the youth and women. Key recommendations include lowering taxes and social security burdens, tightening labor inspections, and improving educational access and participation of women in the workforce.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Climate Change and Water Scarcity<\/strong>: Morocco is particularly susceptible to climate change, facing challenges such as rising temperatures and water stress. The nation aims for carbon neutrality by 2050, underscoring the importance of comprehensive strategies that include carbon pricing. To promote sustainable water use, the study advocates for a gradual increase in water prices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Looking ahead, the OECD forecasts a 4% economic growth for Morocco in the coming year, an improvement from the 3.5% projected for the end of the current year. This growth is expected to be fueled by rising investments and robust exports. Additionally, the budget deficit is anticipated to decrease from 4% this year to 3.5% by 2025, along with stabilizing government debt at around 70% of GDP. Inflation is on track to meet the target of 2% next year.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed Reda Chami, president of the Economic, Social, and Environmental Council, suggests that leveraging Morocco\u2019s natural resources\u2014such as its vast coastline, burgeoning digital economy, strategic geographical location, and local market\u2014could potentially elevate the growth rate to 6%.
