The World Bank has highlighted Morocco’s impressive business environment in its recent report, ranking the country among the top eight global economies recognized for excellence in various sectors.<\/p>\n
The assessment covered 50 economies and used an extensive set of 1,200 indicators for each nation to identify improvement opportunities and suggest necessary reforms. It focused on three critical areas shaping the business landscape for private investors: regulatory framework, public service, and operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Morocco scored an impressive 68.92 in the regulatory framework category, exceeding the average score of 66.65 for the third quintile of countries. The Kingdom received a score of 58.66 in public service and 59.66 for operational efficiency, further solidifying its reputation as a favorable environment for private investment.<\/p>\n
This report replaces the former \u201cDoing Business\u201d initiative, which ended in 2021, and classifies the 50 economies into five groups based on sector performance. The report suggests that this classification system is a valuable tool for policymakers to recognize strengths and pinpoint areas that require improvement.<\/p>\n
The World Bank emphasizes that economic growth can only be achieved by fully utilizing the potential of private enterprise, especially in the face of demographic shifts, debt challenges, and conflicts.
