The airline plans to operate four flights per week with <\/span><b>Boeing 737 MAX 9<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> aircraft, configured for <strong>181 passengers<\/strong> in two seating classes (<\/span><b>16<\/b> <b>Business <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and <\/span><b>165 Economy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In accordance with its website, Air Tanzania\u2019s inaugural flight to Johannesburg will depart from Dar-es-Salaam, the country\u2019s largest city and main financial hub, on <\/span><b>November 30th <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">at 11:00 local time. With this schedule, the company will offer <\/span><b>724 weekly seats <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on each leg, reaching almost <\/span><b>3,000<\/b> <b>seats a month<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, with Airlink being the only competitor on the Johannesburg \u2013 Dar-es-Salaam route.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jetphotos.com\/photo\/11390405\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Schedule between DAR and JNB \u00b7 <\/span><b>Air Tanzania<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Daily except Tuesday and Thursday<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Currently, Airlink, as we announced in our <\/span><b>September <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Africa and Middle East report, boosted from seven to eight weekly services on this route, which operates by <\/span><b>98<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">-seat <\/span><b>Embraer 190s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Both of these are brand new, being less than one year old.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><b>Boeing 737 MAX 9<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">with registration 5H-TCQ<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, departed Seattle Boeing Field on <\/span><b>March 23rd <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">for Dar-es-Salaam, where it arrived on <\/span><b>March 26th <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">after a <\/span><b>three-day ferry flight<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Following a ferry flight of <\/span><b>15 hours<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, on <\/span><b>August 20th<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the aircraft landed at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Zanzibar at 18:45 local time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The next day, the <\/span><b>787 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">performed the Zanzibar \u2013 Dar-es-Salaam leg, which took <\/span><b>13 minutes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Its first scheduled flight was on <\/span><b>August 28th<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, covering the Dar-es-Salaam and Mumbai route. The South African city becomes the airline\u2019s first regular destination in Africa and the fifth route to\/from the British capital, its main hub.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Norse UK will fly three times weekly using the <\/span><b>338-seat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which are configured with <\/span><b>56 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in Business and <\/span><b>282 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in Economy.
