United Airlines and Denver International Airport announced that the company will add eight new routes to\/from DEN, one of its major U.S. bases. The flights will start in <\/span>2025 <\/b>and some will be offered during summer and others year-round.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the press release published by Denver Airport, United will launch six domestic routes, one to Canada and another to Europe. Buffalo, Pensacola, North Bend, Peoria, Redding and Wilmington are in the US sector, and Regina and Rome in the international segment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the eight new services, the main highlight is United Airlines\u2019 commencement of flights to the Italian capital, which will begin on <\/span>May 1st<\/b>, <\/span>2025<\/b>. The airline will operate three times weekly between Denver and Fiumicino Airport by <\/span>257-passenger<\/b> Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, configured with <\/span>48 <\/b>United Polaris\u00ae business class seats, <\/span>21 <\/b>United\u00ae Premium Plus, <\/span>39 <\/b>United Economy Plus\u00ae and <\/span>140 <\/b>United Economy\u00ae.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to first-ever service between Denver and Rome, Redding and Wilmington ILM (North Carolina) will be performed for the first time on a regular basis from DEN. By <\/span>summer 2025<\/b>, Denver Airport will reach <\/span>189 domestic scheduled destinations <\/b>between <\/span>46 U.S.<\/b> states and <\/span>one <\/b>U.S. territory.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the international side, the US city will have <\/span>33 destinations<\/b> between <\/span>18 different countries<\/b>, the highest number in Denver Airport\u2019s history. This includes <\/span>nine <\/b>destinations in <\/span>eight <\/b>European countries, and <\/span>seven <\/b>destinations in Canada. Asia and Latin America are also on the schedule, with <\/span>three <\/b>and <\/span>four <\/b>destinations respectively, at the time of publication.<\/span><\/p>\n

A popular market<\/span><\/h3>\n

Rome is Denver\u2019s longest unserved international market in terms of passenger demand. Over the past year, more than <\/span>60,000 people<\/b> traveled between Denver and the Italian capital, which would be about <\/span>160 passengers per day<\/b>. Demand increased by<\/span> 30%<\/b> between the two cities throughout <\/span>2023<\/b>, and Italy ranks as the fourth most popular international country from DEN behind Mexico, Canada and the United Kingdom.<\/span><\/p>\n

Denver International Airport<\/span><\/h3>\n

In terms of statistics, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Dallas\/Fort Worth and San Francisco were the busiest domestic routes from Denver during this year, going from <\/span>1,244,000<\/b> to <\/span>900,000 passengers.<\/b> Alaska, American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest and United are the main airlines operating domestic flights in DEN.<\/span><\/p>\n

The international sector is dominated by Mexico and Canada in the Americas, and Germany and the UK in Europe. Canc\u00fan is the busiest international route, with more than <\/span>600,000 passengers<\/b>, followed closely by Frankfurt with almost <\/span>596,000 passengers<\/b>. London Heathrow, Vancouver, Toronto, San Jos\u00e9 del Cabo, Munich, Calgary, Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta complete the <\/span>top 10.<\/b><\/p>\n

Denver Airport was inaugurated in <\/span>1995<\/b>. Until then, every year surpassed <\/span>31 million passengers<\/b>, highlighting nearly <\/span>78 million passengers<\/b>, the airport\u2019s all-time record, in 2023.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
