It\u2019s a place where big ideas and everyday challenges meet. Each year, the event picks a theme to spark discussion on issues like sustainability, food security, and technology in farming.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>These conversations happen through public talks, scientific conferences, and informal meetings between attendees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The fair is divided into several themed zones, including a large area for local Products where hundreds of Moroccan cooperatives display and sell traditional goods like argan oil, olive oil, herbs, honey, and couscous.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Many of these cooperatives come from rural areas, and for some, SIAM is the best chance they have all year to reach a wide audience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThis is my third time at the show, and I\u2019ve seen improvements with each edition,\u201d said Chaimae, president of the Aoulad Sassi cooperative from the Laayoune Sakia Lhamra region.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe produce cosmetic products using local southern materials and herbs. Our products are 100% natural, made with medicinal herbs and oils,\u201d Chaimae added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The president of the cooperative added that they regularly look at new product developments at the show and introduce their own.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cOur products on display feature multilingual and appealing packaging as part of our aim to reach international markets,\u201d Chaimae said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Small business owners and cooperatives from all corners of Morocco are participating in the show, with a dedicated zone showcasing stands representing each of the Kingdom\u2019s diverse regions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This setup allows visitors to explore the unique products and innovations stemming from every part of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>One of the attendees told Hespress Eng that she visits SIAM every year and was particularly focused on the cooperatives this time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI like the cooperatives because I can buy products here that I don\u2019t usually have access to and I like to think that I\u2019m helping small businesses,\u201d she explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>She added that attending the event gives her the opportunity to purchase unique agricultural items not commonly found in local markets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s good to see the variety of products that local cooperatives offer,\u201d she added. For her, SIAM provides an important platform for cooperatives to showcase their goods to a larger audience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Visitors can explore different zones focused on specific themes, from livestock and crops to machinery and modern farming technologies. There\u2019s even a dedicated digital hub showcasing the latest in agri-tech and smart solutions for sustainable farming.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The event is also a platform for serious discussions and decision-making. Through conferences, panels, and workshops, experts share knowledge on pressing issues like climate change, food security, and rural development.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>At the same time, governments and companies use the show as a chance to sign new deals and build international partnerships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>But SIAM isn\u2019t only about business. It celebrates the people behind agriculture. Each year, the show hosts competitions and awards to honor outstanding farmers, producers, and even agricultural journalists.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Visitors can also enjoy tastings of local products, traditional crafts, and cultural performances, making SIAM a vibrant, people-centered event that highlights the importance of agriculture in everyday life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Competitions are also a key part of the event.
