Only a <\/span><b>small number of pilots are allowed to operate in Paro due to these extreme conditions.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jetphotos.com\/photo\/11525132\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With regard to carriers, all airlines currently operating to\/from Paro are <\/span><b>Bhutanese<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, offering <\/span><b>domestic and international routes,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> mainly with <\/span><b>Airbus H130, Airbus A319-100, Airbus A320-200, Airbus A320neo, and ATR 42-600 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">aircraft<\/span><b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Druk Air<\/b> (KB\/DRK),<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> also known as <\/span><b>Royal Bhutan Airlines<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, is <\/span><b>Bhutan\u2019s main airline and flag carrier,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> managed by the <\/span><b>Royal Government of Bhutan,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> which focuses its operations in <\/span><b>South Asia and the Middle East.<\/b> <b>Bhutan Airlines<\/b> (B3\/BTN) <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is the other carrier <\/span><b>operating in Paro, the country\u2019s first private airline, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">with <\/span><b>Kathmandu and Kolkata <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">being part of its <\/span><b>route network<\/b> from <strong>PBH\/VQPR.<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As well as Druk Air, it has <\/span><b>Airbus A319-100s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in its fleet, although the <\/span><b>country\u2019s flag carrier also has ATR 42-600s, Airbus A320s and helicopters. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jetphotos.com\/photo\/9621023\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58111\" src=\"https:\/\/www.flightradar24.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Druk-Air.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1086\" <\/span><b>seven or eight<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><b>Druk Air,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> besides being Bhutan\u2019s leading airline,<\/span><b> is the main operator in Paro,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as it has more than three daily flights. <\/span><b>Bhutan Airlines<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, which does not have its aircraft based in The two were added in <\/span><b>2024<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, with the first arriving in <\/span><b>Paro <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on <\/span><b>July 1st <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and the second at the <\/span><b>end of October.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>With its helicopters, Druk Air<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> operates<\/span><b> charter flights to remote villages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>tourist flights, medical evacuation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and <\/span><b>cargo transport <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to <\/span><b>hard-to-reach areas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. These aircraft have two configurations, depending on the pilots flying them.
