KUWAIT CITY, May 17: Traffic officers arrested three expatriates for illegally transporting passengers. According to a security source, the three expatriates were apprehended within 24 hours as part of the intensified efforts of traffic officers to ensure compliance with the traffic regulations.
The source disclosed that the fine for using a vehicle to transport passengers for hire without a permit is KD150 if settled amicably. If the case is referred to court, the penalty ranges from one to three years imprisonment and/or a fine of KD600 to KD1,000, the source added.
