Casablanca will celebrate literature and creativity this weekend with the launch of Echo of Casablanca, Culture and Literature Anfa, a daylong cultural program organized by the Moroccan Writers Association at the Anfa Cultural Complex.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025, is designed to highlight the city’s role as a hub of artistic exchange while fostering stronger ties between writers, cultural institutions, and the public.
The association, which has spent the past five years publishing anthologies, hosting festivals, and building international partnerships, is framing the event as a new stage in its mission to bring Moroccan literature closer to younger generations. “Echo of Casablanca” marks the opening of its sixth season of activity, with a vision centered on excellence, innovation, and openness.
The program reflects that ambition: theater workshops, introductory origami courses, environmental awareness activities, chess gatherings, and forums exploring the intersections of artificial intelligence, literature, and photography. The evening will close with an open mic session, combining music and literature to give space to emerging voices.
Organizers say part of the effort is to draw in high school students and young professionals, hoping to instill in them a lasting love for reading and writing. Free transportation will be provided from several Casablanca meeting points to encourage broad participation.
