Morocco’s Mohammed VI Football Academy won the boy’s 48th “Mondial de la Saint-Pierre” (Saint-Pierre World Cup) title on Saturday, defeating France’s USSA Vertou 4-2 in a thrilling U15 final.
The youth football tournament, held from April 9-12, featured 24 elite boys’ teams from around the world. The Moroccan squad dominated with four wins and one draw in the group stage.
After winning against ESTAC Troyes 2-0 in the semifinals, the academy’s young talents secured Morocco’s first title in the competition, dethroning 2024 champions SCO Angers of France.
The victory highlighted Morocco’s growing reputation as a hub for developing world-class football talent.
The Saint-Pierre World Cup, one of Europe’s most respected youth tournaments, has previously featured future stars including Kylian Mbappé and Eduardo Camavinga in its alumni.
