Morocco imported 519,300 tons of goods from Türkiye in September, placing the country fifth among the main destinations for Turkish ports, local media reported.
The most exported products to Morocco included Portland cement (923,300 tons), rolled sheets (463,500 tons), feldspar (461,400 tons), fuel oil (410,200 tons), and clinker (382,500 tons).
Overall, Türkiye’s port traffic reached 409.68 million tons during the first nine months of 2025, up 3% from the same period in 2024. In September alone, 42.88 million tons were handled, a 2.8% increase from August. Exports totaled 11.14 million tons (+0.7%), imports reached 20.31 million tons (+2.5%), transit accounted for 5.58 million tons (+5.5%), and cabotage 5.84 million tons (+5.4%).
Among commodities, coal shipments posted the largest monthly increase in September, up 22.3% (484,000 tons), while crude oil volumes registered the steepest decline, falling 11.2% (5.1 million tons).
Italy (1.39 million tons), the United States (1.08 million tons), Egypt (957,200 tons), and Spain (770,800 tons) ranked ahead of Morocco.
