Delta Air Lines is set to enhance its connectivity to Scandinavia by launching new flights connecting Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) to Copenhagen. This service will join Delta’s existing route between New York JFK and Copenhagen, cementing its presence in the Danish capital.
- Service Schedule: Flights will be available starting on May 22, 2025, and will operate through early September on a Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday basis.
- Aircraft: The airline will utilize Airbus A330-300 aircraft, seating up to 282 passengers with various classes including Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.
Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, remarked that this route strengthens Delta’s global network, providing unrivaled access to one of Europe’s most vibrant cities, Copenhagen. He emphasized the route’s importance for customers traveling between Scandinavia and North America and highlighted its significant connectivity through SkyTeam partner hubs.
With the addition of Copenhagen, Delta’s offerings from Minneapolis will include year-round and seasonal destinations such as Amsterdam, Dublin, London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Reykjavik, and Rome. Notably, Delta Air Lines will be the sole operator for the MSP-CPH route.
In other aviation news, Air Serbia has announced its plans to commence operations between Belgrade and Shanghai Pudong starting January 11, 2025, with flights scheduled twice weekly aboard Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
