- A new metal sculpture has been unveiled at the Al Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, celebrating 25 years of support from Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.
- The center, established in 1999 by Sheikha Moza, is dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities in Qatar and is commemorating its milestone anniversary this year.
- The sculpture, crafted from stainless steel and titled ‘Infinity Love’, was created by Qatari artist Bashayer al-Badr and adds to Qatar’s collection of public art, which now totals 140 pieces.
- Inspired by Arabic calligraphy, ‘Infinity Love’ showcases the two letters of the Arabic word for love, cleverly intertwined to form an infinity symbol.
- Al-Badr expressed that the sculpture honors Sheikha Moza’s dedication to uplifting the lives of Qatari citizens, especially those in need.
- During the inauguration, Qatar’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, officially unveiled the artwork.
- Al-Badr hopes that the sculpture will bring joy and inspiration to the patients, their families, and the staff at the Al Shafallah Center.
- Additionally, on the same day, Sheikh Mohammed honored 43 students during the graduation ceremony for the 2024 Al Shafallah class, remarking that their graduation marks the beginning of their contributions to the nation.
