KUWAIT CITY, Dec 21: The municipality’s Public Relations Department has announced the completion of demolition works on a number of dilapidated and structurally unsafe buildings after the expiry of the deadline granted to property owners for their removal.
The department explained that the action was taken due to the serious safety risks posed by these deteriorated and collapsing structures, stressing that the measure aims to safeguard lives, protect property, and ensure public safety.
According to the statement, demolition work has been carried out on 60 dilapidated properties in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area since the campaign began on November 24. The municipality confirmed that the remaining unsafe buildings will be demolished in accordance with a predefined timetable, in coordination with the relevant authorities, until all identified violations are fully addressed.
