A host of international and Arab music stars will come together with audiences in Rabat and Salé for the 20th “Mawazine – Rhythms of the World,” taking place from June 20 to 28.
The festival, held under the Highf Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has announced via Instagram and Facebook that the Souissi stage will host renowned international music producer Afrojack (June 20), American artist Becky G (June 22), South Korean group AESPA (June 24), and Nigerian singers Lojay and Wizkid (June 26).
Julian Marley, son of global music legend Bob Marley, will perform on June 28 on the Bouregreg stage. That same stage will also welcome Guinean artist Ans-T Crazy on June 25, while Malian music icon Salif Keita will take the stage on June 27.
In the Arab music category, festivalgoers can attend a concert by Lebanese singer Wael Jassar on June 20 at the Mohammed V National Theatre, and by superstar Ragheb Alama on June 24 on the Nahda stage.
The organizers had previously announced the participation of American actor-singers Kid Cudi and Will Smith, who will perform on the Souissi stage on June 23 and 25 respectively.
As in previous years, 90% of the concerts and activities at the 20th Mawazine – Rhythms of the World Festival will be free to the public, promoting values of peace, openness, tolerance, and respect, according to the Maroc Cultures Association, which organizes the event.
The 19th edition of the festival in 2024 attracted over 2.5 million attendees across nine days of concerts on various stages in Rabat and Salé.
