Chilean authorities have decided to lift the visa requirement for Moroccan citizens, allowing fans to travel freely to Santiago to support Morocco’s under-20 national football team in the FIFA U-20 World Cup final, a source told Hesport.
Following the announcement, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) — a main partner of the Moroccan Football Federation — called on passengers who had booked seats on its special charter flights and were awaiting visas to immediately collect their tickets, as they can now enter Chile without prior authorization.
The national carrier has launched a special round-trip flight from Casablanca to Santiago, priced at 10,000 dirhams, which includes a ticket to the final match.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to facilitate Moroccan fan travel and bolster support for the youth national team on the international stage. Around 600 Moroccan supporters are expected to travel to Chile to cheer on the “Atlas Cubs” in their historic appearance in the world final.
