Lebanese singer Elissa will perform at the Royal Theatre of Rabat on June 20, becoming one of the latest Arab artists to headline Morocco’s newly opened cultural landmark as Rabat accelerates its positioning as a regional arts and events hub.
The concert marks Elissa’s return to Morocco after years away from the kingdom’s live music scene. Organizers said the show will begin at 9 p.m., with ticket prices ranging between 500 and 2,000 dirhams depending on seating categories.
The Rabat performance comes weeks after the official inauguration of the Royal Theatre, a major cultural project designed by late Iraqi British architect Zaha Hadid as part of Morocco’s broader redevelopment of the Bouregreg valley and Rabat’s cultural infrastructure.
The venue has rapidly emerged as a centerpiece of Morocco’s high end cultural programming, hosting international orchestras, diplomatic events and concerts targeting both Moroccan and regional audiences. Gulf artist Hussain Al Jassmi is also scheduled to perform there in June.
Known for romantic Arabic pop ballads and a career spanning more than two decades, Elissa remains one of the Arab world’s most commercially successful singers, with a large fan base across North Africa and the Middle East.
