Moroccan tennis player Ali Missoum has garnered a place in the top 100 players in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior world rankings following his performance at the ITF Juniors J300 Casablanca tournament, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
Missoum lost to Italian player Raffaele Ciurnelli, currently 87th in the ITF Junior rankings, in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2, in the final match.
In the girls’ singles final, Latvia’s Adelina Lacinova defeated Denmark’s Caroline Hermanns to claim the title. Lacinova also won the girls’ doubles title alongside fellow Latvian Marija Lauva.
The boys’ doubles title went to Italy’s Filippo Alfano and Kazakhstan’s Daniel Tazabekov.
The ITF Juniors J300 Casablanca tournament took place from February 9 to 14 at the Club Olympique Casablancais (COC) in Casablanca.
