Morocco will participate in the eighth Arab Women Sports Tournament (AWST) 2026, which will kick off on Monday in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The tournament will take place from February 2 to 12 and bring together 65 teams from 16 Arab countries, competing across nine individual and team categories.
Participants will compete in basketball, taekwondo, volleyball, rowing, fencing, archery, air pistol shooting, athletics, and table tennis.
Basketball matches will take place from February 3 to 11, while volleyball will run from February 3 to 12.
Taekwondo is scheduled to start on February 10 and 11 for the first time in the tournament under the International Taekwondo Federation’s G1 classification.
Rowing will make its debut on February 9 and 10. Fencing competitions will be held on February 3 and 4, covering sword, foil, and sabre.
Archery competition, including compound and Olympic disciplines, will take place on February 3 and 4, while air pistol shooting is scheduled for February 6, and the 10m air rifle tournament on February 8.
Athletics competitions will run from February 8 to 10, while table tennis will be held from February 9 to 12.
