Nigeria and Morocco signed a revised bilateral air services agreement (BASA) on Wednesday in Marrakech to expand flight operations, deepen trade ties, and strengthen tourism between the two countries, according to Nairametrics.
Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, signed the deal during the Global Implementation Support Symposium. His media adviser, Tunde Moshood, read a statement at the event on behalf of the minister.
“The agreement establishes a modern and forward-looking framework that enhances connectivity, deepens commercial cooperation, and expands operational opportunities for airlines, airports, and regulatory institutions,” the statement read.
The deal also focuses on safety, security, environmental sustainability, and people-to-people exchanges, Nigerian officials said.
