Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi will announce his squad for the opening two qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations at a news conference on Thursday, September 17.
The announcement is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, eight days before Morocco begins its qualifying campaign against Gabon.
The Atlas Lions will host Gabon at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Friday, September 25, in the first round of the African qualifiers.
Morocco will then face Lesotho on Tuesday, September 29, in Bloemfontein, South Africa, for the second round.
The schedule gives Ouahbi’s side a home fixture to open its campaign before traveling to southern Africa for the second match four days later.
Thursday’s squad announcement will identify the players selected for both fixtures as Morocco starts its bid to reach the 2027 continental tournament.
