Morocco’s Deposit and Management Fund said it had received documents and account statements of a suspicious nature linked to false deposit and escrow operations.
“The services of the CDG have received documents and falsified account statements of a suspicious nature, relating to false deposit and escrow operations, presumed to serve fraudulent and illicit purposes, involving persons claiming to hold significant sums deposited, in their own name or in the name of third parties, with the CDG.”
The institution warned against relying on any information circulating outside its official channels.
“The Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion calls on all citizens and the general public to exercise the utmost vigilance and not to consider as valid any information or documents originating outside its services and habitual channels.”
