She also supervised the club’s football academy.
Boumehdi worked within the national technical administration of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation from 2016 to 2022. She coordinated programs that train women coaches across Morocco and guided several national youth teams. In 2020, she coached the Morocco women’s national football team.
Her achievements include winning the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2024 with TP Mazembe. She also won the award for best women’s football coach in Africa in 2024 and 2025 and secured a place among the top three coaches in Africa in 2025.
Boumehdi holds several coaching certifications from the Confederation of African Football, including the CAF A coaching license. She also works as a certified CAF instructor.
Before Boumehdi, Moroccan coach Jamal Sellami is leading the Jordan men’s national football team since 2024. Sellami guided Jordan to a third-place finish in the 2022 WAFF Championship, reached the quarterfinals of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, and helped the team climb several positions in the AFC rankings, and to reach the 2026 World Cup after years of absence.
