FIFA unveiled the schedule Thursday for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, with all 64 matches set to be played across eight host cities.
The schedule was presented at FIFA headquarters in Zurich following the draw for the preliminary phase of the 2027 Women’s World Cup Play-Off Tournament.
Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã Stadium will host both the opening match and the final, making it only the third stadium to host finals of both the men’s and women’s World Cups.
The Maracanã will join Sweden’s Råsunda Stadium in Solna and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, which hosted the men’s and women’s World Cup finals in 1958 and 1995, and 1994 and 1999, respectively.
Each of the eight host cities will stage at least seven matches, including at least one knockout-stage game. Brasília, Porto Alegre, Recife and Salvador will host matches through the round of 16, while Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo will also host quarterfinal matches.
Host nation Brazil will play its group-stage matches in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Brasília.
The 2027 tournament will be the first Women’s World Cup to be held in Latin America. It will feature 32 teams and 64 matches across eight Brazilian cities from June 24 to July 25.
Morocco qualified for the 2027 World Cup by reaching the semifinals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
