Ibrahim Diaz propelled the Moroccan national football team to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Lesotho at the Adrar Stadium in Agadir, marking their second match in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Coach Walid Regragui implemented several adjustments to the starting lineup, introducing Adam Aznou at left back, switching Dari in for Aboukar, and selecting Richardson over Amrabat in the defensive midfield role.
The first half saw the Lions apply significant pressure on the Lesotho defense, seeking an early goal. However, despite their dominance, the Moroccan team couldn’t find the back of the net, and the half ended goalless.
As the second half unfolded, Morocco maintained their relentless pressure. In added time, Ibrahim Diaz broke through the Lesotho defense to secure the win for his team.
It’s worth noting that Morocco had previously enjoyed a solid start to the qualifiers, defeating Gabon 4-1 just days earlier at the same venue.
