Qatar Airways is set to enhance its services in North America with the introduction of a new route connecting Doha to Toronto, scheduled to commence on December 11. This new addition makes Toronto the airline’s second destination in Canada, following its existing service to Montreal.
– Qatar Airways will operate three flights per week on this route, utilizing the Boeing 777-300ER, which has a capacity of 354 passengers across two classes.
– With the launch of the Toronto route, Qatar will operate 13 destinations in North America, with a total of 11 being routes to the United States. Altogether, including South America, the airline will offer 14 routes across the continent, focusing solely on passenger services.
– This new service will provide 1,062 seats weekly between Doha and Toronto, exceeding 4,000 seats monthly. Additionally, the existing Doha-Montreal flights, which operate daily, offer nearly 10,000 seats a month in each direction.
The flight schedule for the Doha-Toronto route will be on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Qatar Airways’ commitment to enhancing its connectivity for Canadian travelers highlights its dedication to providing top-notch service and access to its acclaimed Qsuite in-flight experience.
The CEO of Qatar Airways, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, expressed that the Toronto route reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining a strong presence in the Canadian market and underscores its role as a vital global travel connector.
Since its entry into the Canadian market on June 14, 2011, Qatar Airways has steadily increased its service. The initial three weekly flights to Montreal have expanded to a daily frequency following its successful operation through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, Qatar Airways serves multiple destinations across the Americas, including cities like Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, and Miami. The airline is not only growing its footprint in North America but also increasing frequencies to several major cities and launching new routes, all while optimizing its fleet of over 254 aircraft.
– New routes include three weekly flights to Toronto starting December 11 and an additional route to Abha, Saudi Arabia, two times a week starting January 2, 2025.
– Recently announced frequency increases will be implemented for routes to Amsterdam and London Heathrow, among others, as Qatar Airways continues to strengthen its network and offer enhanced service to travelers.
This latest development showcases Qatar Airways’ ongoing expansion strategy and its aim to provide travelers with convenient and luxurious flying options.
