Air Europa plans to introduce a seasonal service between Madrid and Tangier for the summer of 2026, expanding air links between northern Morocco and the Spanish capital, according to schedules published by AeroRoutes.
The SkyTeam carrier will operate the route from June 17 to September 14, 2026, using a Boeing 737 MAX 8. The airline will start with three weekly flights, increasing to five weekly frequencies between June 28 and September 2 to meet peak summer demand.
The new route comes amid sustained growth in Morocco-Europe air travel, driven by tourism flows, diaspora traffic, and economic expansion in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region.
Tangier already has links to Madrid through other carriers, including Iberia, in addition to connections to multiple European cities via both full-service and low-cost airlines.
