The acting Director of the Subiya Plant Talal Al-Shammari gave a detailed presentation about the electrical control system at the plant, which has an installed capacity of 7,100 megawatts, accounting for 35 percent of Kuwait’s total energy production. The plant also has a water production capacity of 100 million imperial gallons per day. During the tour, Dr. Al-Mukhaizeem visited several important areas, including the steam turbine hall, the Thermal Control Room (TCR), and the distillation unit control room. He also observed the modernization work being carried out on one of the steam turbines. The minister took the opportunity to congratulate the workers on duty during Eid al-Fitr, commending the expertise of the ministry’s staff and the Power Plants and Water Distillation Sector, which forms the backbone of the ministry and meets the country’s electricity and water demands. He affirmed the importance of developing and training human resources to deal with any challenges that may arise within the electricity or water network. Dr. Al-Mukhaizeem expressed his gratitude to the ministry’s employees for their dedication, particularly during official holidays. He urged them to work as a team, highlighting that this collaborative approach positively impacts work quality, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
