This year’s Forbes list included two Qatari billionaires: Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani and Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani.
Forbes has unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 World’s Billionaires list, highlighting a record 3,028 billionaires globally, the highest since the list’s inception nearly four decades ago in 1987.
Among the distinguished names on the list are two prominent Qatari businessmen: Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association.
The inclusion of these influential figures reflects Qatar’s continued economic prominence and their significant roles in shaping both the country’s business landscape and international investments.
Forbes’ 2025 rankings also saw over 280 newcomers, bringing fresh talent into the billionaire ranks.
The United States leads the list with 902 billionaires, followed by China (516, including Hong Kong) and India (205). Forbes compiled the rankings using stock prices and exchange rates as of March 7, 2025.
In a notable development, Saudi Arabia made its return to the list after a seven-year absence, further showcasing the growing influence of the region’s business elite.
