Morocco’s air transportation recorded a record 36.4 million passengers in 2025, an increase of 11.2% from 21% growth in 2024, according to the Directorate of Studies and Financial Forecasts (DEPF).
International passenger traffic rose 10.8% from 2024, driven by higher flows to Europe (+9.9%), the Middle and Far East (+16.4%), North and Latin America (+24.9%), Africa (+11.4%), and Maghreb countries (+8.8%).
Domestic passenger traffic also grew by 13.9%, while air cargo traffic increased by 5.3% as of the end of 2025.
Maritime commercial traffic at ports managed by Morocco’s Ports Agency (ANP) reached 95.6 million tons as of the end of November 2025, up 5.7% from 2024.
This growth was attributed to increases in imports (+4.6%), cabotage (+45.8%), and exports (+4.6%). Passenger traffic at these ports rose 4.5%, reaching around 2.3 million, while cruise activity surged 51%, attracting 341,481 tourists.
The transportation and storage value grew 3.5% in the third quarter of 2025, following a 7.5% rise a year earlier.
With gains of 4.3% in Q2 and 4% in Q1, the sector’s value added increased by an average of 3.9% over the first nine months of 2025 from 7.3% during the same period in 2024.
