Morocco’s Director General of National Police (DGSN-DSGT) Abdellatif Hammouchi is on a working visit to Ankara leading a senior security delegation as part of his participation in the Internal Security Equipment Exhibition “IGEF 2025,” held on September 18-20.
The visit, made at the official invitation of Turkish authorities, included a meeting between Hammouchi and his Turkish counterpart, Mahmut Demirtaş, Director General of the Turkish National Police, the DGSN-DGST said in a statement.
The two discussed current and future prospects for bilateral security cooperation, as well as ways to strengthen joint efforts to ensure safety, stability, and mitigate shared security risks.
Both officials also addressed the various security challenges facing security services, including the threats posed by illegal immigration and its links to organized crime networks. They also discussed the development of police training methods and investment in human resources.

Hammouchi also held bilateral talks with the heads of delegations from several countries participating in the IGEF 2025 exhibition, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Malaysia, according to the source.
