Junior Pro Taghazout Bay will run from November 5-9, as part of the official World Surf League (WSL) calendar, held at Morocco’s Taghazout Bay.
The competition will be the fifth and final stage of the Junior Qualifying Series (JQS), after tournaments in Ferrol in Spain, Capbreton in France, Bundoran in Ireland, and Razo in Spain, which begins this week, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
Based on the results in Razo, the Junior Pro Taghazout Bay will crown the 2025 European Junior Champion in both the men’s and women’s categories. It will also give the U20 best surfers a chance to qualify for the WSL World Junior Championships.
The JQS serves as a launchpad to the sport’s elite, offering young athletes the opportunity to compete against the best of their generation.
Moroccan surfer Ramzi Boukhiam won the European Junior title in 2012 and reached the podium twice at the World Junior Championships.
