The Spanish Business Club in Morocco (CEEM) held its Ordinary Elective General Assembly, an event that brought members together to elect new members to the organisation’s Board of Directors and set out the main lines of action for the coming years.
The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the Club’s commitment to strengthening economic relations between Spain and Morocco, promoting new opportunities for investment, trade and business cooperation, against a backdrop of growing dynamism in the bilateral partnership between Madrid and Rabat.
Following the voting process, the Club’s members elected, by a majority, the new Executive Committee that will lead the Club during the coming term of office. This new leadership will be chaired by José Carlos Mulero Aguilar, with Íñigo López Carrasco as vice-chair, Juan Antonio Vidal Francés as secretary and Ricard Ebri Sambeat as treasurer.
Renewing the commitment to bilateral cooperation
Committed to continuing to strengthen the Club’s activities and its role as a leading platform for business cooperation between Spain and Morocco, the new Executive Committee expressed its gratitude for the trust placed in it by the members and for their participation in this democratic process.
The aim is to continue consolidating the Spanish business community established in Morocco, offering its members a solid, accessible and high-value-added collaborative network.
With a proven track record and a strong presence in northern Morocco, the Club of Spanish Businesspeople in Morocco (CEEM) will continue to reinforce its role as a leading platform for Spanish companies established in this North African country.
In this regard, Morocco represents a strategic opportunity to deepen bilateral economic relations and consolidate the presence of Spanish businesses in one of North Africa’s most dynamic markets.
Morocco’s macroeconomic stability, the modernisation of its infrastructure and its growing integration into global value chains make the country a key partner for attracting new investment, strengthening business alliances and gaining access to both the African market and other international destinations.
Network of partners and support initiatives
Through its network of partners and its support initiatives, the organisation will continue to promote the exchange of experiences, the creation of strategic alliances and the development of new business opportunities, supporting its members in their growth and internationalisation process.
In this regard, the Club emphasised the need to continue fostering forums for dialogue and consultation between the public and private sectors to consolidate economic cooperation between Morocco and Spain, given that such meetings represent an essential tool for strengthening mutual trust, facilitating the exchange of experiences, identifying investment opportunities and promoting joint projects in strategic sectors.
It therefore highlights the ongoing dialogue between institutions and businesses as a decisive factor in removing obstacles, improving the business climate and strengthening an increasingly integrated and competitive economic partnership.
The business missions organised by the club enable companies to gain first-hand insight into the functioning and potential of the Moroccan market, establish relationships of trust with local partners and institutions, identify new investment and business opportunities, foster the creation of lasting alliances, and strengthen companies’ competitiveness in an increasingly globalised economic environment.
