The US airline has confirmed its first transatlantic route with Airbus A321XLR aircraft, set to start in March 2026. American’s first A321XLR arrived in Dallas from Toulouse on October 22nd following an 11-hour ferry flight.

New York-Edinburgh, a new seasonal route returning after an eight-year hiatus, will be the first regular transatlantic service for these aircraft, operating daily from March 8th, 2026.
