Morocco Strategic Minerals Corp. announced the results of its July 2025 sampling program at its Tifernine property southeast of Ouarzazate, in a press release issued on Thursday. The company holds an option to acquire a 100% interest in the 16-square-kilometer project.
The sampling program targeted several sub-vertical mineralized structures in the northeastern section of the permit. Structure ST1 covers 600 meters of strike and up to 11 meters in width. Nearby structures ST2 and ST3 extend 100 and 110 meters, respectively, with widths of up to 2 meters.
The company collected 14 channels totaling 76 samples along ST1. Each channel represented one-meter intervals across zones of mineralization. Five grab samples came from ST2 and ST3. Afrilab Laboratory in Marrakech analyzed all the samples.
Results include five channel samples grading above 1% copper, with a peak value of 2.3%. Three-channel samples graded above 1% oxide copper, with a maximum of 1.72%. Three grab samples returned copper grades above 0.50%, including 1.89% copper from sample Tif-16 on ST3.
42 samples exceeded the detection limit for gold at 0.05 grams per ton, with a maximum of 0.30 grams per ton from sample Tif-16. 13 samples contained zinc values above 0.50%, with one reaching 17.75% zinc from sample Tif-07.
“The results confirm the presence of high-grade copper mineralization within exposed structures and outline significant copper anomalies,” said Pierre-Olivier Goulet, vice president of corporate development. “At Tifernine, mineralization is structurally controlled within veins and shear zones, with widths reaching up to 11 meters.
Current anomalous gold values are highlighting the property’s “untapped gold potential,” he said, while the strong zinc grades reinforce its polymetallic character. “Collectively, these results underscore the potential scale and upside of Tifernine.”
Morocco Strategic Minerals is preparing for a follow-up exploration program. Plans include detailed geological mapping and trenching to evaluate the continuity of mineralization and identify new targets on the property.
The Tifernine Copper Project sits about 10 kilometers from the company’s BMR property and is accessible via national road N9, which runs from Ouarzazate to Zagora. The site lies within an Ediacaran rhyolitic and andesitic complex cut by ENE-WSW-oriented faults. Mineralization occurs in quartz-carbonate veins and disseminated volcanic rocks.
Morocco Strategic Minerals is a Canadian company focused on acquiring, exploring, and potentially developing resource properties in Canada and Morocco.
