A 28-year-old Moroccan man has been apprehended in Milan on charges of inciting terrorism-related crimes. The arrest was carried out by the city’s National Police following a directive from the Preliminary Investigation Judge at the Milan Court.
Reports from local sources indicate that this individual was previously the subject of a complaint last November due to threats directed at him on an Instagram account.
The man already has a criminal history involving offenses against individuals, property, and drug-related crimes. He is currently under investigation for possible connections to international terrorism. The investigative process, which involves collaboration between the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the police’s international anti-terrorism section, is being conducted in coordination with the Department for Combating Extremism and Terrorism, along with the Central Preventive Police Directorate.
This incident underscores ongoing concerns regarding the rise of radicalization and the proactive measures being taken to address potential threats.
