Aterian Plc, a UK-based mining company, recently announced an exciting development at the Jebilet Est Copper Project in Morocco, where they have discovered new copper zones.
– Recent fieldwork revealed several mineralized zones, highlighted by a remarkable copper sample with a grade of 9.25%.
– The Jebilet Est Project covers an area of 73.6 square kilometers and is positioned 35 kilometers northeast of Marrakech, within the Marrakech-Safi region, a historically significant mining district known for its copper resources.
– Charles Bray, Chairman of Aterian Plc, expressed optimism about the findings. He noted the excitement surrounding the copper results, particularly the new quartz-carbonate vein targets that may signify a substantial copper presence.
– Bray emphasized the strategic value of the Jebilet Est project in Aterian’s portfolio, stating it stands out due to its location in a copper-rich area.
– Aterian’s immediate plans for Jebilet Est include conducting a thorough ground magnetics survey over priority targets, complemented by geological mapping and sampling. The company is also contemplating the use of induced polarization (IP) profiles to pinpoint future drilling sites.
– Furthermore, Aterian is evaluating airborne geophysical data from its other copper projects in Morocco, specifically Azrar and Tata, which are situated in the copper-rich Anti-Atlas Mountains.
