Deliveroo will cease its operations in Qatar on March 4 after almost three years of service in the Gulf state.
Food delivery giant DoorDash announced Wednesday that it will wind down operations in Qatar, as well as Singapore, Japan, and Uzbekistan, across its Deliveroo and Wolt brands.

This marks the end of nearly three years of service in the country.
The British-founded app, owned by DoorDash following a 2025 takeover, launched in Qatar in October 2022.
Its partnered with hundreds of local and international restaurants.
“We’ve made the difficult decision to wind down operations in Qatar, Singapore, Japan, and Uzbekistan,” said Miki Kuusi, Head of DoorDash International, CEO of Deliveroo and Co-founder of Wolt.
The company said it will begin an orderly exit from the affected countries and work closely with local employees, merchants, consumers, riders, and courier partners to manage the transition.
“Our priority is supporting our teams and partners through an orderly transition as we focus on the geographies where we can offer the best product and build a long-term business,” Kuusi added.
The decision follows a strategic review of country-specific market conditions, including the level of investment required to build what DoorDash described as a “best-in-class product” and a sustainable long-term business in each location.
DoorDash emphasized that the exits are not expected to materially impact its financial outlook.
The company confirmed that the guidance ranges it provided on February 18, remain unchanged.
In addition to the market exits, DoorDash said it is implementing limited operational changes in select locations, including increased investment in certain engineering roles in the United Kingdom.
