Iberdrola is the only Spanish company among the ten companies with the best corporate websites in Europe, according to the Webranking 2025–2026 report by international consulting firm Comprend. This study, a benchmark in digital business communication, ranks 500 companies after analysing more than 600 companies across Europe.
In addition, for the second consecutive year, Iberdrola’s website has been recognised as the best in the corporate sector in Spain. Europe’s largest electricity company and one of the two largest in the world by market capitalisation scored 87.3 points out of 100, representing an increase of 10% over the previous edition and more than 95% over 2020.
This progress reflects Iberdrola’s commitment to transparency, excellence in information and accessibility. At European level, this progress has enabled it to climb nine places in the Europe 500 list, to sixth place.
The Group’s website (www.iberdrola.com) stands out with a performance close to or above 90% in most of the 10 sections into which the ranking is divided, never falling below 70%. This exceptional performance places Iberdrola ahead of its competitors.
The Home page and the Sustainability section stand out with almost the highest possible score, closely followed by Corporate Governance, Careers and Shareholders and Investors, all with very good results.
As stated in the Webranking 2025-2026 report, ‘the website offers a comprehensive and user-friendly experience that effectively responds to the needs of stakeholders’.
The study highlights as strengths the progress in transparency in the Governance section, which places Iberdrola in a solid position compared to its peers and in line with the growing expectations of stakeholders. It also highlights the strength of its brand as an employer, communication on recruitment and continuous improvement in the area of sustainability, which shows how the company integrates these aspects into its strategy and responds effectively to related information needs.
An indicator for stakeholders
Through its Webranking, Comprend conducts a comparative analysis of the corporate websites of 638 companies in Europe selected by market capitalisation in the Stoxx All Europe 800 index.
This ranking is a key indicator of transparency and the only one based on the expectations of key stakeholders in areas such as financial reporting, corporate governance, investor relations, sustainability and employer branding.
Every year since 1997, the consulting firm has surveyed analysts, investors, journalists and job seekers, among others, to find out what they expect from a corporate website. Their responses are used to define the index’s evaluation criteria, which include a total of 264 measurement parameters.
