Morocco launched eTrade.ma on Monday, a national B2B digital platform designed to help exporters promote their products and connect directly with international buyers as part of efforts to modernize foreign trade, according to Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP).
The platform, unveiled at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Benguerir, enables companies to showcase products, manage commercial transactions, and reach international buyers through a single digital interface.
The initiative targets obstacles Moroccan businesses struggle with, such as limited access to foreign buyers, complex export procedures, and weak digital marketing capabilities.
Secretary of State in charge of Foreign Trade Omar Hejira said the platform aims to “democratize export access,” enabling businesses across the country to sell internationally without needing to travel or attend trade fairs.
Authorities expect the platform to support nearly 1,000 exporting companies and generate more than MAD 15 billion in additional exports by 2027.
The rollout will begin with a pilot phase before expanding to all Moroccan exporters.
