Morocco’s National Tourism Office (ONMT) has launched a tender to redesign its national tourism pavilion for seven major international travel trade shows in 2027, according to a statement released Wednesday.
The initiative aims to strengthen Morocco’s exhibition presence to secure airline partnerships, tour-operator deals, and business opportunities for Moroccan tourism companies.
The redesigned “Pavillon Maroc” will be deployed at FITUR in Madrid, ITB Berlin, Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, ITB China in Shanghai, IFTM Top Résa in Paris, World Travel Market in London, and IBTM World in Barcelona.
The events bring together airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, hotel groups, and other industry decision-makers who influence air connectivity, travel packages, and the international distribution of destinations.
The redesigned pavilion is intended to make Morocco’s participation more commercially focused, with “every square meter” of the pavilion expected to contribute to the economic development of the country’s tourism industry, ONMT said.
The initiative comes as Morocco seeks to build on strong tourism growth, with the sector generating MAD 138 billion in foreign-currency receipts.
For the first time, ONMT plans to open the pavilion to a broader range of businesses across the tourism value chain, including restaurants and tourist transport companies.
The pavilion will include a main area for Moroccan tourism operators, regional tourism councils, the national airline, and cultural activities; an immersive space showcasing the country’s regions; and a dedicated area for hotel groups, destination management companies, and inbound travel agencies to meet international buyers.
ONMT also plans to promote Morocco through 10 tourism segments, including culture, desert travel, ocean activities, city breaks, nature and trekking, beach tourism, sports, handicrafts, gastronomy, and meetings and events tourism.
The presentation will be adapted to individual markets, allowing Morocco to emphasize different destinations and tourism products depending on the profile of buyers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
