Morocco’s Tanger Med Group, operator of the largest container port in the Mediterranean and Africa, ended 2025 with consolidated revenues of MAD 13 billion ($1.4 billion), up 16% from a year earlier, the company said in a statement, according to Le360.
The growth reflects the increasing scale of the Tanger Med ecosystem, which now combines port operations, industrial zones, logistics services, and national terminal management under one umbrella. At the center is the Tanger Med Port Complex near Tangier, which handled more than 11 million containers in 2025.
The group’s activity extends well beyond one port. Through its stake in Marsa Maroc, Tanger Med also operates 35 terminals across 21 Moroccan ports. Combined cargo handled by the wider group reached 209 million tons last year, while total container traffic climbed to 12.42 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (TEUs).
The industrial side of the platform is becoming increasingly significant. Tanger Med Group now manages around 3,000 hectares of business and industrial zones hosting more than 1,500 companies, many in automotive, aerospace, textiles, agribusiness, and logistics. These zones generated MAD 188 billion in industrial business volume in 2025 and supported roughly 145,000 jobs.
The figures show that Tanger Med is no longer just a shipping port. It has become one of Morocco’s main export manufacturing and logistics engines, linking factories, customs, trucking, and maritime transport in a single integrated corridor.
