RIYADH: A vibrant celebration of global cultures is underway in Riyadh, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage as part of the Global Harmony Initiative. This initiative, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, is a highlight of the ongoing Riyadh Season at Al-Suwaidi Park.
Various Indian artists and celebrities are showcasing their cultural diversity during the celebration. Notable figures include the renowned playback singer Himesh Reshammiya, the comedic duo Chinki-Minki from “The Kapil Sharma Show,” rapper Emiway Bantai known for “Gully Boy,” and social media influencer Sameeksha Sud.
The Indian ambassador, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, expressed excitement about meeting music star Himesh Reshammiya.
The Global Harmony Initiative aims to showcase the diverse lives of expatriates in the Kingdom, spanning various countries and cultures.

Reshammiya’s connection with fans, both expatriates and locals, created a memorable night during the Riyadh Season.

Chinki-Minki shared their enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to be here for the first time, experiencing the warmth of Saudi hospitality and engaging with the long-standing Indian community in the region.”
They highlighted the enjoyable coexistence of diverse cultures in Saudi Arabia and the sense of harmony among different communities.

Emiway Bantai praised the General Entertainment Authority for facilitating an exciting season for the diaspora, packed with cultural activities over nine days. He emphasized the importance of celebrating multiculturalism and noted the lively environment at Al-Suwaidi Park.
Sameeksha Sud expressed her excitement about visiting Riyadh for the first time and witnessing the vibrant Indian community’s celebration of global harmony.
The event also features Indian cricketers Umran Malik and S. Sreesanth among the participants.
Attendees will enjoy live performances from Indian artists throughout the celebration, alongside a bazaar offering Indian cuisine, clothing, and handicrafts.
Zeenat Enam, an Indian resident, conveyed her happiness about participating in the live performances, commenting on India’s diversity and the celebration of various cultures within the Global Harmony Initiative.
Sarry Shaaban outlined the initiative’s aim to highlight expatriates’ diverse lives in the Kingdom, focusing on their contributions to society, economic impact, and cultural integration.
The initiative will spotlight efforts from governmental and private sectors aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Saudi cities.
Beyond India, other participating nations include the Philippines, Indonesia, Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Bangladesh, and Egypt, celebrating a tapestry of cultures in the coming weeks.
India and Saudi Arabia share a long history of cultural exchange, which has intensified in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
