The Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference (GRTIEC) 2024 has brought together over 100 exhibitors to showcase the latest in rail transport developments, regulatory advancements, and sustainability efforts.
Key highlights of the event include:
– Qatar’s Ministry of Transport actively participated, focusing on critical topics such as transportation legislation and enhancing infrastructure through advanced technologies and artificial intelligence.
– Hosted by Etihad Rail, the event took place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on October 8.
– Attendance included several ministers, officials, and CEOs from both Arab and international railroad companies, highlighting the event’s global significance.
– Qatar’s Minister of Transport, Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, presented the nation’s innovative public bus infrastructure and ongoing railroad projects at the ministry’s pavilion, joined by Sheikh Theyab and other dignitaries.
During the conference, Minister Al-Sulaiti emphasized Qatar’s ambitious goal to electrify all public buses completely by 2030. The MOT pavilion also offered engaging interactive experiences, including a chance to virtually operate the Lusail Tram and explore Doha Metro trains and stations through virtual reality.
The exhibition has created a dynamic platform for dialogue among leaders in transportation and infrastructure, fostering collaboration and innovation within the industry.
