United Airlines will expand its operations in Australia, by launching flights to Adelaide beginning in December. The flights will have three weekly frequencies on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, with a capacity of 257 passengers in two classes.
Adelaide will become the airline’s fourth regular connection in the country, joining Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Currently, according to our database, United has 29 flights per week between the U.S. and Australia, being Sydney its main destination in terms of frequencies and routes.

Hawaiian to fly between Seattle and Honolulu by 787s
Hawaiian Airlines will commence services between Seattle and Honolulu with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft as of August 20th. The introduction of the 787 to this route is due to the agreement between Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines and the development of operations among the carrier’s main hubs.
Until September 11th, the airline will operate a daily frequency, when it will double its weekly flights using Boeing 787s on this service. These aircraft are configured for 300 passengers in two classes (34 seats in Business and 266 seats in Economy).

Iberia to begin operations to Latin America with A321XLR
Fortaleza and Recife will be two new Iberia routes in South America, to be conducted on Airbus A321XLRs.
In accordance with its press release, Recife will enter the schedule effective December 13th, 2025, and Fortaleza from January 19th, 2026. Both Brazilian cities will have three weekly frequencies, although Fortaleza will increase to four services per week in February 2026, as Iberia recently announced.
The Spanish airline will reach four destinations in Brazil, with Rio de Janeiro Galeao and Sao Paulo Guarulhos being its current connections. Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Caracas, Lima, Montevideo, Quito and Santiago de Chile are part of the schedule in South America, in addition to Brazil.

KLM to start flights to Sint Maarten on 787s, and will commence a new route to South America
As of June 4th, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will launch operations to St. Maarten with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner jets, which will join the Airbus A330-200s, currently used on this service.
The Boeing 787-9s will operate a triangular route that includes St. Maarten and Georgetown (Guyana), the latter located in South America. Guyana’s capital city will be a new regular KLM destination effective June 4th.

KLM will increase from three to five weekly services from/to Sint Maarten (three flights per week will be non-stop, with A330s).
Virgin to fly between London and Seoul
Virgin Atlantic has announced its arrival in South Korea starting March 29th, 2026, with its new route between London Heathrow and Seoul Incheon. The airline will operate Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner airplanes, configured for 264 passengers in three classes.
As can seen in our database, Virgin will surpass 20 scheduled destinations from its hub in the British capital after the start of Seoul, and will reach four on the Asian continent. Currently, the company operates to Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai, with respect to destinations in Asia, all of them being in India.

The Star Alliance member will initiate a new route between Taiwan and the United States beginning October 3rd, to be served by Boeing 777-300(ER) aircraft.
Based on its website, EVA Air will fly three times weekly to Dallas Fort Worth, which will be its seventh U.S. destination, joining Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Seattle.

Jetstar to add two new routes from Denpasar
Jetstar will strengthen its operations in Denpasar (Indonesia), by launching two new scheduled routes between June and August. One of these will be carried out with 186-seat Airbus A320-200 aircraft, while the other using Airbus A321LRs configured for 232 passengers.
Singapore will join the schedule to/from Denpasar on June 6th, which will operate with a daily frequency on A321LRs. Meanwhile, Gold Coast, a city located 70 kilometers south of Brisbane, will have three flights a week with A320s starting August 1st.

Qantas resumes two internacional routes in December
The Australian airline will introduce two new international routes from Perth International Airport, both as of December 7th. In accordance with its website, Auckland and Johannesburg will return to Qantas’ regular schedule from/to Perth, each operated with 255-seat Airbus A330-200s, three times weekly.
London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Singapore are its current international destinations from PER, served by Boeing 787-9s (LHR and CDG) and A330-200s (Singapore).

Uganda Airlines to operate flights to the United Kingdom
Uganda Airlines announced that it will begin flying between Entebbe and London Gatwick from May 18th, thus entering the European market for the first time in almost a decade. The Ugandan flag carrier will operate Airbus A330-800neo aircraft, configured for 261 passengers in three classes (20 seats in Business, 28 seats in Premium Economy and 213 seats in Economy).
London Gatwick will become Uganda Airlines’ third regular destination offered outside Africa, its main market of operation. Currently, according to our database, Dubai and Mumbai, in the United Arab Emirates and India, respectively, are its current routes in other continents.

Qatar Airways strengthens its presence in Canada
Nearly a year after the start, Qatar Airways plans to expand to a daily frequency between Doha and Toronto Pearson from late October 2025.
The airline currently offers three weekly services on this route, which it has maintained since its first flight on December 11th, 2024, with Boeing 777-300(ER) aircraft seating 354 passengers in two classes, and is scheduled to increase, prior to the daily flight, to five operations per week on June 19th.

Etihad to fly to France by A321LRs
For the first time, the airline will operate to the French capital with Airbus A321neo LR aircraft.
In accordance with its website, starting February 1st, 2026, Etihad Airways will increase from 14 to 18 flights per week on the Abu Dhabi – Paris Charles de Gaulle route, which is currently operated using Airbus A380s and Boeing 787-9s.
